About this course

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including work like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the second-oldest and evergreen engineering discipline. The countries’ ever expanding infrastructure demands highly skilled labour from this discipline. It applies scientific and engineering principles involving building structures, soil mechanisms and foundation , transportation, environmental, irrigation and fluid mechanisms. As a civil engineer you will be trained to plan, design and executes such projects. It is traditionally broken into several sub –disciplines including architectural engineering , environmental engineering , geotechnical engineering, control engineering, structural engineering etc.
